Innovative Educator, Podcast Host and Producer, Educational Consultant, Speaker, Author, and Game Designer
I worked in the film industry for many years, but decided to leave it for a more glamorous and lucrative career in education. Well, actually I really wanted to add more meaning to my life. Using my creativity as a base, I taught and eventually was an administrator in many different school settings, honing my craft as I went. Eventually, I also added educational consultant and innovator to my job descriptions giving professional development workshops and courses through my company New Lens Ed. all over the world both in person and online, and creating the award-winning LaunchBox products – games and activities that deal with big philosophical questions. Currently, I’m the national Director of Education for Club Z.
While I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching from The American Jewish University, my undergraduate degree in drama from New York University has helped prepare me for my career in public speaking and teaching as well as having a great time on my podcast, Overthrowing Education.
I love to inspire and entertain people with my writing, as well., whether it be with my commercial parodies at the beginning of each podcast episode, in spiritual matters such as my essays at Aish.com or educational such as in my book, The Jewish Educator’s Companion published in 2017 by Behrman House.
